When playground equipment ages, it starts to pose new hazards for children and new problems for whoever owns or manages it. Every piece of equipment on a playground needs to be up to code and properly maintained to prevent injuries from occurring. Even one hazard compromises the safety of the entire playground. It is important that everyone involved with the operations of a playground is well versed in the maintenance that the equipment requires. Making sure that everyone can identify playground hazards, is familiar with ASTM and ADA regulations, and can do simple repairs when necessary can is one of the best ways to manage the risk associated with playgrounds. This course can help you and your organization maintain the highest standard of playground safety possible.
