Sharp edges can be detrimental if not discovered and maintained. 
Inspections are important to schedule in order to discover possible hazards that you may not notice. Constant wear from children’s playing can cause a playground to breakdown. Like in the photo above, a child may not notice a sharp edge or hole. These problems can occur even in the base layer of a playground. Even if a sharp edge is close to the ground, a child is at risk of being harmed.
